Float Learning and Bradley University’s Department of Interactive Media in the Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts teamed up to provide a one-day event focused on mobile on Friday, June 10, 2011. Industry-leading speakers on user experience, learning and strategy presented an invaluable amount of information about mobile design, development and strategy. Marketing departments, learning departments and IT professionals benefitted from the actionable information they could take back to their organizations to invigorate their own mobile efforts. Two tracks focused on Business and Strategy, as well as Design and Development.
This session, hosted by chairman of Bradley University’s Department of Interactive Media Jim Ferolo, provided an examination of mobile interactions that are tied to physical location and advertising modalities. With help from three of his students, Ferolo also presented data from a recent study completed by members of his capstone theory class.
As department chair, Ferolo’s work centers around the design of interactive experiences and their relationship to installations and physical space.
