In an age of information overload, social networks are often cluttered with information – much of it useless. Searching for old posts on social network sites is nearly impossible (have you ever tried to locate an old tweet?). On top of that, much of what people learn happens when they’re on the go.
That’s why Float Mobile Learning has released Tappestry, the enterprise social network for learning.
Tappestry allows you to share what you’ve learned at any time and in any place. It categorizes threads of information you’ve learned by topic and location so you can retrieve that information when and where you need it. In addition, Tappestry lets you share what you’ve learned with your social networks through Facebook and Twitter.
Tappestry is built on the Tin Can API, aka the Experience API.
Tappestry is available for free for iOS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad), Android devices and the Web. Custom enterprise solutions are available, as well.
